Greetings from across the pond! I trust you are all doing well and enjoying the transition towards summer. I am so excited to unveil one of the larger projects my team and I have been working on called “ReClaimed.” ReClaimed is a mini-series is made up of 5-8min episodes telling people’s stories of how God has worked in their lives. These will be released each month for the next several months. We have had a documentary filmmaker from Singapore volunteering in our office for the last couple of months named Janesa, and she has spearheaded the project with help from myself and another videographer we have in the office. Our goal in creating these is to encourage people in their faith.

It is so easy to get discouraged in life or feel that God is absent from day-to-day life. I think all of us, myself included, have had times like these. Thankfully, we are not powerless. As it mentions in Revelations 12, we can overcome because of “The blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.” While this series has not been easy, requiring an enormous amount of work, we believe in the power of sharing what God has done in people’s lives to bring hope and encouragement to everyone we can. The first episode came out several days ago and we have already heard amazing feedback about how much it has impacted those who watched it. I would ask you to join me in prayer for the project, specifically that the spirit would be moving through it to bring encouragement to those who need it. If you would like to check it out, I have included it below.

ReClaimed Ep. 1 : Andres

After a couple of months of off and on, I have finally been able to get back involved with the photo ministry group again. With all that has happened since the beginning of the year, I took a slight step back, handing off the leadership to another one of the participants for a couple of months. This was a good thing all around, as my capacity was quite limited as I shifted into my new responsibilities and gave space for someone else to lead. However, in the last month, I have finally been able to fully return. The other member who was leading left on outreach and I have gotten much more settled into my new position to the point where I have been able to take it back on again. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to be back in the city once more with the group. As the summer months are dawning, we have had some wonderful encounters.

One of the ongoing tasks my team and I have been working on since last year is mobilizing more young people to the programs and outreaches we run. We have been working across many different platforms, social media sites, and tools to figure out how best to get more young people engaged in missions. Over the last 2 months, we have begun to see some significant success in this regard which has been enormously encouraging for our team. People are choosing to come for our Bible, discipleship, and other pieces of training specifically from the things we are creating in greater and greater numbers. There is so much out there vying for the attention of people today, and it can be challenging to compete. I am so thankful for both the giftings of my team and the breakthrough we have seen.

A small sample of the dozens and dozens of ads we have created in the last months.

For me, this is a really amazing blend of us doing our best in the natural and trusting God for the supernatural. On one hand, we are essentially doing online marketing, and on the other, we engage in constant intercession and prayers for God to stir hearts towards missions. I truly believe this is the way all of us are called to live and work, doing what we can and trusting the Lord for what we can’t. It looks different for each of us, but there is always that open invitation to walk through the ups and downs of life hand and hand with our Savior. While I have heard this taught hundreds of times over my life, it has just been something that has been re-impressed upon me lately on a new level and I hope it is encouraging to you as well.

One last note before I sign off. This September, I am going to be making a visit back to the US & Canada. My hope is to see many of you and share even more of what is happening over here (these updates are just the tip of the iceberg). If you have churches, small groups, or would even like to meet up one on one please let me know so we can arrange a time. I have many stories projects, photos, and maybe even some swiss chocolate to share! 🙂
